Welcome to David Madaffari’s Real Estate Blog

Thank you for visiting my new blog site for everything real estate in the Baton Rouge and surrounding parishes.   This has been an item I have planned for awhile because I wanted to make sure that if I did this, it would truly be a method of connecting with people on a personal level in regards to real estate.   Some real estate blog content out there can be fed through streams with specific words changed to fit the general local market, i.e. the same blog could be on many sites across the country but “read” local.

My first promise is that this will NOT be like that.

Those that know me know that I ask a lot of questions.  My father always told me as a kid, “If you don’t know the answer, figure it out.”  This is a very benign and almost obvious statement, but in order to “figure it out” I naturally became an answer seeker.  I was an inquisitive kid and today I like seeking answers to rather simple questions but with complex answers.

What does this have to do with real estate in Baton Rouge, Prairieville or Denham Springs?

Well, it means that not only will be providing factual information about market conditions and trends, but also my thoughts and observations on where we’ve been, where we are and where I think we are going.  To do this I will be asking questions to you – and the world – in hopes of better understanding housing expectations and ultimately be able to shape the future of Baton Rouge Real Estate.

There are several topics that I am passionate about – the use of land, current subdivision development practices and even specific construction designs such as rear-loading garages and carports…hence the name of this blog.  These topics will resurface once in awhile but also more general thoughts and questions about what creates value and what truly motivates buyers and sellers.

Don’t worry, not all posts will be this long :-).  I do hope that over time I will at least ask some thought-provoking questions that produce great insight to how I can better serve you.   It goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway) that you can feel free to comment, call, email, or text any question to me and I’ll be glad to respond.
